About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Lidl. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of store colleagues to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, taking ownership of the store and leading by example
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve store performance and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, cash processes, and other store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives and develop the skills and knowledge of store colleagues

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, with a track record of developing and motivating teams to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve store performance and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, cash processes, and customer service
