Role Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at Methodist Homes, you will take charge and motivate a dedicated team of care assistants to deliver exceptional care to our residents, ensuring they enjoy their later years to the fullest. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including assisting residents with personal care and encouraging their participation in diverse activities that promote their health and well-being. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering medications and maintaining precise and thorough records. Each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize your leadership and interpersonal skills to make a significant impact.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant who is genuinely passionate about supporting older individuals. You should possess prior experience in care, and at a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care, with a willingness to pursue level 3. Furthermore, you should have a background in leading, coaching, and inspiring a team to provide top-notch care.

Attributes such as a compassionate and nurturing demeanor, teamwork capabilities, and the ability to take initiative are essential. Strong communication, patience, and listening skills are equally vital. You should excel in maintaining accurate records, managing your time effectively, and prioritizing tasks. If you can lead by example, foster positive relationships, and motivate colleagues to deliver outstanding care, we would be eager to hear from you.
