Zodiac Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Urban Planning Leader to join our esteemed client's team. This pivotal role demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading complex urban planning projects, fostering strong client relationships, and guiding junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead and oversee diverse portfolios of urban planning projects, ensuring timely and exceptional delivery.
- Cultivate and nurture enduring client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Provide insightful strategic direction and input on planning applications, policy development, and project design.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and environmental consultants.
- Mentor and support the professional growth of junior planners and team members.
- Remain abreast of industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a senior planning role, demonstrating a consistent record of success.
- Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of UK planning laws, policies, and procedures.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for sustainable and innovative urban development.
