Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at one of our locations. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet our standards.
  • Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and organized, and that all equipment is in good working order.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu and ingredients, and be able to make recommendations to customers.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales targets.
  • Participate in menu planning and development, and contribute to the creation of new dishes and promotions.
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, inventory, and labor hours.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and quality.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to progress in your career.
