Unravel the Mysteries of the Past

We are seeking a skilled History Cover Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Richmond for a one-term adventure. As a History Detective, you will be responsible for guiding students on their historical investigation, fostering a love of learning, and helping them develop a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design engaging lessons that follow the curriculum, but don't be afraid to add your own detective twist
  • Encourage students to ask questions, analyse primary and secondary sources, and develop their critical thinking skills.
  • Use creative activities, discussions, and exploration of diverse perspectives to make history more than just dates and names.
  • Collaborate with the History department and school leadership to ensure a smooth and enriching learning experience for all students.
Requirements:
  • A deep well of historical knowledge.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent a plus).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for engaging students and making history an unforgettable adventure.
  • The ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
