Join MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions, a global leader in industrial metal and plastic finishing chemistries, as a Level 3 Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician Apprentice. In this exciting role, you will learn and apply a wide range of skills, including electrical and mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment in a chemical manufacturing setting.

As a proactive and self-motivated individual, you will be responsible for assisting the maintenance technician with day-to-day upkeep of the plant and facilities, as well as contributing to the proactive approach of the maintenance team. You will learn to provide first-line response to equipment failures and maintenance work requests on electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the maintenance technician with routine maintenance tasks, including stripping pumps, repairing pipework, and finding and rectifying electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic faults.
  • Learning and assisting with routing maintenance tasks, including ensuring full and accurate records of work are retained and easily retrievable.
  • Contributing to ongoing plant and building improvements, ensuring plant and building maintenance is complete to a high standard.
  • Ensuring all work is done to a high standard and is conducted safely, complying with legislation and following the company's procedures.

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual with a drive to learn and progress their skills. You will have GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science Grade 4 or above. If you are a good communicator, a team player, and have a healthy respect for safety, we encourage you to apply.

We offer a competitive salary between £17,000 – £19,600 per annum, depending on candidate, and a range of benefits, including an enhanced contributory pension scheme, Bupa healthcare, annual bonus, annual salary increases, paid overtime, and career progression.
