Oncology Nurse Position Overview

HG Group is seeking a dedicated Oncology Nurse to provide expert care for patients receiving chemotherapy. This role is essential in delivering high-quality healthcare services to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.

As an Oncology Nurse, your main duties will include the safe administration of chemotherapy medications, vigilant monitoring of patients for any side effects, and offering emotional and physical support throughout their treatment process. Working collaboratively with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals is crucial to achieving optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
  • At least 6 months of experience in oncology nursing
  • Completion of a relevant specialist course in oncology nursing
  • Certification in chemotherapy administration
  • Strong clinical competencies and knowledge base
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to function within a multidisciplinary team
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts
  • Dedication to providing compassionate patient care
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Fulfillment of mandatory training requirements

Job Types Available: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract
Work Schedule: 8 – 40 hours per week with various shift patterns
Compensation: £22.00-£46.00 per hour
