Job Description

Wayman Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team in an outstanding school in Camden. As a key member of our education team, you will play a vital role in helping students thrive and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging English lessons in accordance with the school's curriculum, promoting a love of learning in students.
  • Develop and implement differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate cross-curricular activities and events, promoting a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and student engagement, fostering a sense of community and respect among students.
  • Assess student performance using various methods, such as exams, projects, and class participation, providing accurate and timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Communicate with parents to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns, building strong relationships and promoting a collaborative approach to education.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in teaching and learning.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification, ensuring you meet the necessary standards for teaching in the UK.
  • Experience teaching English in a primary or secondary school setting, with a proven track record of success and a passion for teaching.
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and pedagogical approaches, enabling you to design and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and cater to individual student needs, ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up-to-date with educational trends and best practices, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning.
