Job Title: English Teacher

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join our team at Talent Finder Jobs. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching English Language and Literature to students at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level, as well as Functional Skills English Level 1 and Level 2 courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach English Language and Literature to students at Key Stage 3 and GCSE level
  • Deliver Functional Skills English Level 1 and Level 2 courses
  • Support existing staff in the development of the curriculum and new projects
  • Undertake necessary associated organisation, administration, and other responsibilities
  • Contribute fully as a team member to team meetings, staff development, preparation, and educational support activities
  • Maintain high levels of student retention and achievement
  • Assist in further developing educational and community outreach activities

Requirements:

  • Possession of a teaching qualification (Cert Ed) or equivalent
  • A Level 2 qualification in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4
  • Experience in delivering a student-centred approach curriculum to students at various levels of learning
  • Experience in supporting students with behavioural difficulties or additional learning needs
  • Ability to devise exciting and stimulating projects to support student learning
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proven organisational and administrative skills and an ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to think creatively and constructively
  • Caring and compassionate persona
  • Knowledge and/or competencies of health and safety as relevant to the post and a commitment to safeguarding the health and safety of learners and others
