Main Responsibilities- Lead the practice in achieving regulatory and contractual compliance.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the practice team.
- Drive innovation and modernization initiatives to improve patient care and practice efficiency.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting, and compliance with local and national KPIs and contracts.
- Coordinate and lead the operational delivery of services, engaging with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Present and analyze data to monitor quality and performance.
- Attend meetings and represent the practice as required.
- Effectively manage staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain effective partnerships with other organizations to benefit the practice.
- Take responsibility for security, repairs, insurance, and maintenance of the premises, services, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work legislation.
- Manage all income, expenditure, and accounts, and prepare financial reports.
- Implement and maintain systems under direction from the partners.
- Handle patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure.
- Review and update the practice's information leaflet and website.
- Handle practice publicity and health education materials.
- Be involved in managing the computer system, including organizing maintenance and developments.
- Ensure practice compliance with data protection legislation.
- Prepare practice business plans and annual reports as directed.
- CQC experience is highly desirable.
- Experience working as a practice manager is essential.
- Skills to motivate and drive a team forward are crucial.
- Private and NHS practice experience is preferred.
- CQC registered manager status is required.
- Bookkeeping experience is an advantage.
- Social media skills are beneficial.
- The ideal candidate will be reliable, mature, punctual, willing to learn, presentable, and hardworking.
- Ability to work under pressure is essential.
- Experience in the medical/dental sector is highly desirable.
- Passion for dentistry is a must.
- Some experience of management is desirable.
- Able to demonstrate an excellent can-do attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills are required.
- A fast learner and team player is essential.
- Treatment coordinator skills and experience are desirable.
