Recruit4Staff is excited to partner with our client, a globally recognized construction and civil engineering firm, in their quest for a Lead Quantity Surveyor to contribute to their extensive civil engineering and infrastructure initiatives.
For the successful Lead Quantity Surveyor, our client offers:

  • Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
  • Days Position
  • Permanent employment
  • 25 days of annual leave plus Bank holidays
  • Accommodation and allowances provided
  • Pension scheme with up to 8% contribution from the employer
  • Company vehicle or car allowance

Role Overview - Lead Quantity Surveyor

  • Analyze and prepare project cost estimates for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and timelines
  • Draft tender and contract documentation, collaborating with architects and clients
  • Negotiate contracts and work schedules effectively
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of a project or a segment of a project
  • Actively contribute to the financial success of the project and the organization
  • Prepare applications and detailed reports
  • Review incoming accounts and correspondence, responding appropriately
  • Manage designated subcontract accounts and assist senior commercial personnel in negotiations
  • Establish a personal development plan and achieve set objectives

Qualifications and Experience Required for the Lead Quantity Surveyor

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar quantity surveying position
  • Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor firms - ESSENTIAL
  • HNC/HND qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field - ESSENTIAL
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent - DESIRABLE
  • Experience in the Civil Engineering/Construction industry - ESSENTIAL
  • Current CSCS Card holder - DESIRABLE
  • Experience with infrastructure projects - DESIRABLE
  • Thorough understanding of general and specific contract and subcontract terms
  • Knowledge of techniques and processes involved in project delivery
