Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering Project
Job Description:
We are proud to represent our client, a leading construction and civil engineering company, in their search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on their long-term civil engineering and infrastructure project.
About the Role:
- Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and time.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules.
- Supervise the commercial function on a project or section of a project.
- Contribute to the commercial success of the project and the business.
- Prepare applications and reports.
- Review incoming accounts and correspondence and react accordingly.
- Manage specified subcontract accounts and support senior commercial staff in negotiations.
- Agree a personal development plan and deliver the objectives.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar quantity surveyor role.
- Previous experience working for Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor companies.
- HNC/HND qualified in a Quantity Surveying/Civil Engineering/Construction Discipline.
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in the Civil Engineering/Construction sector.
- Currently hold a CSCS Card.
- Previous experience working on infrastructure projects.
- Detailed understanding of general and specific contract and subcontract terms.
- Knowledge of techniques and processes involved in delivering the works.
What We Offer:
- Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience and skillset).
- Days Position.
- Permanent role.
- 25 days holiday + Bank holidays.
