Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

At Morson Talent, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a vital role in providing commercial and financial expertise to our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the commercial aspects of projects, including tendering, contract administration, and cost control.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Produce and process formal subcontract documents, including interim and final payments, and final subcontract accounts.
  • Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts, including cash flow forecasts and cost comparisons.
  • Provide commercial advice and support to the site team to optimize the use of contract resources.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to use a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and bespoke packages.
