Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards.

About the Role:
  • Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor with construction project management.
  • Undertake cost analysis and cost control for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare and analyse project tenders.
  • Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
  • Ensure that work complies with quality management, legal and safety requirements.
  • Perform risk and value management to support procurement strategy.
  • Provide support for project accounts and financial reports.
  • Assist with the procurement of construction materials and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Strong numerical and budgeting skills.
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes and materials.
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts and legal frameworks.
  • Experience in assisting with the management of construction projects.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software.
