We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist with a passion for Neurology to join our Community team.
The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive speech and language therapy service tailored for adults experiencing Dysphasia.
You will collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team that includes Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Neuropsychologists, Specialist Nursing, and Rehabilitation Assistants.
The service is provided in the most appropriate environment for each individual, whether that be their home, a day centre, workplace, or clinic. We also facilitate group sessions in a clinical setting.
Compensation:
£31/hour (Day shifts)
Requirements for the Role:
- Advanced knowledge gained through a degree or equivalent qualifications, including further theoretical training and experience at a Master's level in the relevant specialty.
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development through attendance at specialized postgraduate courses to enhance and maintain expertise.
- Recognized qualification in Speech & Language Therapy or equivalent (Post Graduate Diploma or MSc leading to HCPC registration).
- Current HCPC Licence to Practice, Registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, and membership in relevant Clinical Excellence Networks.
- A minimum of 6 months of paid patient-facing nursing experience in the UK within the last 3 years.
- Up-to-date knowledge of clinical best practices.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
