We are pleased to announce a remarkable opportunity for a Lead Signalling Systems Engineer with expertise in ETCS and ERTMS. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of a significant railway initiative.

Role Overview:
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of advanced signalling solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating the integration of innovative technologies into our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Utilize Network Rail protocols and methodologies to ensure a cost-efficient, high-quality, and safe approach to design, construction, and commissioning activities across relevant projects.
  2. Enforce engineering standards and procedures to guarantee that all design and construction contracts adhere to the necessary Railway Group standards.
  3. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments using both quantitative and qualitative techniques.
  4. Fulfill the responsibilities of the designated design and construction engineer.
  5. Act as the designated project engineer (DPE) for assigned projects.

Qualifications Required:

  1. Technical qualifications at a minimum of HNC level or equivalent.
  2. Membership in a relevant professional organization.
  3. Proven experience in contracting environments.
  4. Familiarity with the processes required for independent work assessments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification.
  2. Chartered status or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
  3. Awareness of environmental considerations in engineering projects.
