Job Title: Senior Personal Tax Consultant
Location: West Surrey
About the Role
TPF Recruitment is on the lookout for a Senior Personal Tax Consultant to become a key member of a vibrant team in the Farnham area. This full-time permanent position offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements. You will play a crucial role in a collaborative environment, managing a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients while delivering expert tax guidance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing a portfolio of personal tax clients to ensure adherence to HM Revenue & Customs regulations and internal deadlines.
  • Preparing and processing tax returns and P11Ds based on information provided by clients.
  • Calculating and advising on tax liabilities and payment deadlines.
  • Assisting clients with inquiries and offering ad-hoc advice.
  • Billing clients in your personal portfolio upon completion of work.
  • Managing client correspondence, phone calls, and meetings.
  • Supporting partners and colleagues with technical tax inquiries.
  • Mentoring junior team members as required.
  • Preparing technical reports related to income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Handling correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries from HMRC.
  • Providing general support to the tax team.

Requirements
  • Experience in a private client tax team.
  • Ideally ATT qualified.
  • Self-motivated with strong resilience and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient IT skills with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
  • Positive, proactive, and commercially minded.
  • Confident, tactful, and discreet.
  • Strong team spirit with the ability to work independently.
