About Our Client

Our client, a leading energy business in the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Counsel - Property to join their team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Commercial Property Solicitor with extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of Commercial Property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial option agreements, leases, and ancillary documents.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out due diligence on commercial property matters, including reports on title, pre-contract searches, and enquiries.
  2. Advise on mitigation for title risks/defects identified and support external counsel in reviewing and preparing certifications of title.
  3. Lead the property element of the legal team and support more junior members in property transactions.
  4. Work closely with the business development team and contribute to the larger business on legal matters.
  5. Assess risk on every transaction and provide pragmatic decisions to ensure appropriate legal advice is given.

Requirements

A successful Senior Legal Counsel - Property should have:

  1. UK/IRE Qualified with a minimum 3+ years PQE.
  2. Extensive experience in dealing with all aspects of Commercial Property.
  3. Excellent commercial awareness skills and the ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and intermediaries.
  4. High attention to detail with sound working knowledge of common MS Office packages.
