About the Role

:

As a skilled Construction and Maintenance Technician at Mears, you will be responsible for carrying out repair and refurbishment works efficiently and up to high standards following established procedures.

Show commitment by handling construction, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks with the goal of achieving successful outcomes within set budgets and timelines.

Emphasize the importance of customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism in interactions with clients, service users, and stakeholders, paying attention to details such as appearance, company image, vehicle conditions, and adhering to stringent Health & Safety guidelines. Customer feedback may be requested upon completion of projects.

Utilize digital tools like a handheld device (PDA) to manage tasks electronically, including documentation, photo evidence of work progress, stock management, and adherence to safety protocols.

Maintain company assets in proper condition as per company policies, promptly reporting any damages to your Supervisor/Manager.

Efficiently manage stock inventory and collect materials as needed to fulfill work orders, following purchasing procedures and van stock control guidelines.

Participate in scheduled meetings, training sessions, and be available for emergency call-outs to uphold service standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

Role Criteria:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Prior experience in plastering within social housing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in IT
  • Required to have own hand tools
