About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled XR/AV Technician to join our team at TeamPeople. As a key member of our XR team, you will be responsible for managing the creation and distribution of immersive content via various methods of outreach.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the XR landscape from a production or creative deployment perspective and experience with high-profile projects. Proficiency in cloud-based production workflows and traditional AV workflows is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide technical support for XR projects, including 'in-headset' capture, MR, and AR workflows.
  • Issue Escalation: Escalate bugs, issues, and blockers to relevant teams and assist with resolution to maintain service levels.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical clients to explain our services as needed.
  • Client Education: Educate and coach clients on XR capabilities for projects and alternative options to support their requests.
  • Workflow Development: Develop and deliver new XR workflows to achieve creative briefs.
  • Team Collaboration: Attend regular meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor cloud-based systems remotely, troubleshoot as needed, and escalate if necessary.
  • Technical Support Lifecycle: Support the technical support lifecycle and manage technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution, and post-event.
  • Client Satisfaction: Consistently deliver high-quality service to our clients and facilitate partner tours of the space.
  • Issue Resolution: Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion to the line manager.
Requirements
  • XR Experience: Exposure or proven passion in the XR space.
  • Workflow Development: Ability to operate equipment to support streaming, video conferencing, audio conferencing, local audio reinforcement, video technologies (including projection, switching, and formatting).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Web or Internet Experience: Web or internet start-up environments and customer service experience are a plus.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter who can demonstrate learning and be open to learning.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized.
  • Direction Taking: Ability to take direction well.
Education and Experience
  • Production Experience: 2-4 years of production experience or experience in a production environment.
  • Asset Workflow Management: Asset workflow management experience is a plus.
  • Travel: Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
