King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to assume the role of Clinical Service Manager within the Nuclear Medicine & PET-CT department. This position is integral to our multidisciplinary team comprising clinical technologists, radiographers, clinical scientists, nurses, physicians, and administrative personnel.
Our department is equipped with advanced imaging technology, including a GE Discovery 710 PET-CT scanner and a Siemens Symbia T16 SPECT-CT scanner, among others. We are dedicated to radionuclide therapy and are recognized for our excellence in diagnosing and treating neuroendocrine tumors.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will possess substantial postgraduate experience in both SPECT-CT and PET-CT. A managerial background in hybrid imaging is crucial, as you will oversee daily operations and commercial agreements while ensuring alignment with Trust-wide clinical strategies. Collaboration with our commercial partner is essential, as you will serve as the Unit Manager, responsible for quality and performance oversight.
Your role will include supervising and evaluating senior technical staff, participating in clinical audits, and contributing to service development initiatives. As the Chief Technologist, you will handle recruitment, manage staff, liaise with external stakeholders, monitor service delivery metrics, and address clinical governance matters. Additionally, you will be part of the managerial team working closely with the Clinical Lead Consultant, Principal Clinical Scientist, and Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist.
