Job Summary

La Fosse is partnering with a leading financial services company to help build out and scale their engineering team. We are seeking an experienced mid-level Python software engineer who is ready to grow and be fast-tracked into a senior position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend systems using Python and Flask
  • Work with AWS and Docker to ensure efficient deployment and management of applications
  • Collaborate with the team to implement PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, ensuring data consistency and integrity
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code using testing frameworks such as Pytest
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Python development, with a strong focus on backend systems
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Strong understanding of testing frameworks and methodologies, including TDD
  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have

  • Experience with full-stack development using Python and Flask
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Interest in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML)

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of up to £90,000, an enhanced pension scheme, and a discretionary bonus.
