Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HCPC Paramedic or NMC Nurse to join our team based in Gatwick, covering courts in the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work 26.5 hours per week across a 2-week rolling rota, providing clinical expertise and skills to take responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of custodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing accurate advice, health information, and medication to patients
  • Keeping immediate and accurate records of service user enquiries during consultations
  • Accurately documenting consultation notes to allow for suitable clinical guidance and intervention
  • Referring to Service Delivery Manager or colleagues as necessary for advice, while maintaining accountability and responsibility for decisions made
  • Demonstrating the ability to remain focused on service delivery while dealing with an unpredictable, diverse, and challenging workload
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of standard procedures and escalating issues affecting service delivery as necessary
  • Adhering to and implementing CQC and local policies and procedures while working within the NMC/HCPC Code of Professional Conduct
Requirements
  • Current registration with HCPC as a paramedic or NMC as a Nurse with no investigations/suspensions current or pending
  • Full driving licence - use of company vehicle to travel between courts
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification as a paramedic or nurse
  • Previous experience of clinical autonomy
  • Primary and acute secondary care experience
  • Experience within a prison secure establishment would be an advantage
  • Able to demonstrate Continuous Professional Development
  • Evidence of consolidating post-qualification practice
  • Basic I.T. skills
