Join Our Team as an Engineering Lecturer

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join our team at East Kent Colleges Group. As an Engineering Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching and assessing students in a variety of engineering disciplines, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and manufacturing engineering.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, requiring the successful candidate to work 30 hours per week. The salary for this role is £28,160 up to £30,882, pro rata. We offer a competitive salary and holiday entitlement, as well as access to a range of benefits, including a generous pension scheme and cycle to work scheme.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assess students in a variety of engineering disciplines
  • Develop and deliver engaging and innovative lessons
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering department, including curriculum design and delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A level 3 qualification in an engineering disciplineExperience of teaching and assessing students in an engineering contextExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environmentWhat We Offer
