Indirect Procurement Specialist

As an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in procurement to acquire machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and services for a leading global manufacturer in the off-highway machinery sector.
Work Arrangement:
Hybrid model: 2 days at one location, 2 days at another, and 1 day working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct indirect purchasing for the facility, ensuring all necessary items are procured efficiently.
- Support the execution of category strategies for tailored categories and manage supplier performance.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the supply base across Europe.
- Oversee policies, agreements, source catalogs, and special purchasing programs.
- Provide leadership in sourcing, logistics, and resource management decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement process.
- Handle daily tasks including invoice discrepancies, supplier shortages, and material expediting.
- Manage purchase orders in compliance with company regulations.
- Administer procurement activities related to indirect materials and services.
- Evaluate and monitor contract performance and manage procurement metrics.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Buyer, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on achieving win/win outcomes.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with Microsoft Office, Visio, and purchasing systems.
- Experience in indirect purchasing is preferred.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and QCLDM is desirable.
- MCIPS qualification or knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.
