About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Streetworks Supervisor to join our team at Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the Technical Services Manager in the provision of a specific facilities service to the Street Furniture & Assets product within a broad-based geographical area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of engineers to ensure that all contractual obligations, internal targets, and customer standards are met and exceeded.
  • Identify training and development needs within the team and provide guidance and support to ensure their growth and success.
  • Be the first point of contact for engineers in resolving technical and process issues, providing logistical support, and coordinating resource for annual leave.
  • Work independently, but within a framework, to coordinate the efforts of Street Furniture based engineers and contractors, ensuring best practice is shared and implemented.
  • Liaise and coordinate with local authorities to ensure compliance with NRWS Legislation and provide traffic management support and plans as required.
  • Apply knowledge in a range of technical situations, making personal judgements on how to achieve best quality, cost, and time objectives.
  • Undertake normal work duties of an Assets Engineer within your geographic area, with your area and workloads assessed to allow time for supervising effectively.
  • Accountable for Site Supervisor obligations under New Road Street Works.
  • Create a culture of support, cooperation, collaboration, and teamwork across the Assets product.

About You

  • You will have knowledge of and be trained as a SWQR "Street Works Supervisor", as defined and in compliance with, The "Street Works Act".
  • You will have comprehensive technical knowledge of the Street Furniture & Assets product and processes.
  • You will be computer literate, particularly in Excel and Outlook email.
  • You will have good communication skills and the ability to motivate, develop, and lead the team.
  • You will be able to understand and provide high levels of customer service and build relationships.
  • You will have good commercial and business awareness and be innovative.
  • A full manual UK driving licence is required.
