Job Title: School Sports Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Sports Assistant to join our team at Vision for Education - Manchester. As a School Sports Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical education and sports activities of our students.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a passion for physical education and a desire to use sports activities and lessons as a tool to aid motivation, confidence, and emotional resilience. You will work with pupils aged between 11-16 years with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, providing support and guidance to help them develop life-long positive attitudes to sport, physical activity, and healthy living.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver sports sessions to young people, promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Support students with Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs, providing individualized support and guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement sports programs.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social and emotional well-being.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience delivering sports to young people.
  • Ability to work with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
  • Resilient, empathetic, patient, and adaptable.
  • Positive mindset to inspire children through sport.
