About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Construction and Built Environment team as a Lecturer in Digital Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and research in the field of digital construction, with a focus on building information modelling, building simulation, and digital twin technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs in digital construction, including building information modelling, building simulation, and digital twin technology.
  • Conduct novel, interdisciplinary engineering research that expands and complements the school's research strengths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching methods and assessment strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the school's research strategy and secure external funding for research projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a relevant subject, such as civil engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students.
  • A strong research profile, with a track record of publishing high-quality research papers.
  • A commitment to teaching and learning, with a focus on delivering high-quality student experiences.
