About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to take on the strategic lead role in driving the development of our Occupational Therapy services at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operational management and professional leadership for Occupational Therapy within the division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services that adhere to national standards and demonstrate the Trust's values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the quality and safety of patient care
  • Lead the development of Occupational Therapy services, including budget management and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with clinical divisions to develop a Trust-wide programme for service delivery and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with financial protocols, fiscal responsibility, and targets
  • Contribute to the development of a positive public image regarding the Trust's Occupational Therapy services
Requirements
  • State Registered Occupational Therapist with current HCPC registration
  • Masters-level qualification or evidence of postgraduate study
  • Management qualification or additional short courses to evidence experience
  • NHS management experience, including managing budgets, delivering efficiency savings, and activity and staffing
