Job Description

Stobart, a leading Logistics and Transportation Company, is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Central Finance team at our Appleton Thorn site.

Job Summary:

  • Support the central finance department in various tasks, including journal posting and month-end reconciliations.
  • Business partner with cost centre owners to further their finance knowledge and education in a £600m business.
  • Prepare financial reporting for central overhead cost centres, including profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgets.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including managing the central mailbox and responding to queries from the wider business.

Requirements:

  • GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 5 or above.
  • AAT Level 4 or equivalent.
  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
