About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data and Research Manager to join our Research and Innovation department at Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality research studies within our mental health and physical health specialty areas.

As a Data and Research Manager, you will be responsible for providing data management support to a portfolio of studies, ensuring that all research activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and research governance standards. You will work closely with study leads and sponsors to create databases for identification, tracking, recording, and reporting of patient pathways, and assist research staff and clinicians to ensure protocols are accurately followed.

You will also be responsible for transcribing and exporting data from medical records to case report forms, ensuring that clinical study recruitment records are accurately maintained, and ensuring safe filing and storage of study documentation and samples in accordance with regulatory requirements and research governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data management support to a portfolio of studies, ensuring that all research activities are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and research governance standards.
  • Work closely with study leads and sponsors to create databases for identification, tracking, recording, and reporting of patient pathways.
  • Assist research staff and clinicians to ensure protocols are accurately followed.

Person Specification
  • Recent research, audit, or service evaluation experience.
  • Experience of working in an NHS setting.
