The ideal candidate will be able to produce detailed electrical designs, including schematics, LV distribution, lighting, small power & data, fire alarm, and security layouts. They should also be able to support the Design/Engineering team to ensure project deliverables are achieved. This Electrical Design Specialist will need to undertake calculations in accordance with the latest British Standards as well as make steps to minimize expenses and non-chargeable costs.

They will also be required to attend design team meetings, internally and externally with clients, communicate design solutions to internal stakeholders and external customers, and participate in effective presentations to external organizations, clients, and peer groups.

This candidate will need to manage task duration to ensure deadlines are met and assist the lead engineers in collating and disseminating project information through the project team.

Key Requirements:
  1. Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Trimble, Relux, Microsoft Office, and Revit.
  2. Relevant qualifications such as Building Services Engineering HNC, or degree - equivalent within a relevant subject.
  3. Experience in CAD design.
  4. Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles.
