Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team at Elmlea, a well-established care service in Gloucester.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behaviours of concern, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Epilepsy and Complex Needs.
  • Encourage participation in activities and follow interests, assisting in the community.
  • Coordinate scheduled activities, using personalized rotas and liaising with others.
  • Support personal care, promoting independence.
  • Encourage proactive strategies for emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Knowledge/experience/desire to support individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities or Challenging Behaviour.
  • Good basic comprehension of English language, including basic literacy and numerical skills.
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development and training.
