About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Clinical Pharmacist - Oncology, Haematology, Palliative Care and Technical Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients and staff within our trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical pharmacy input into the oncology, haematology, and palliative care teams, ensuring a consistently high-quality service is delivered.
  • Lead by example in the specialisms of oncology, haematology, and palliative care, ensuring a high-quality clinical pharmacy service is delivered to these patients and other clinical areas that utilize technical services products.
  • Manage the technical services section of the pharmacy, including the clinical input into prescribing and administration of chemotherapy, to provide a high-quality, efficient pharmacy service to patients and staff within our trust.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care to patients.
Requirements
  • Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy plus one year pre-registration training.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy Practice.
  • GPhC Qualification.
  • Clinical practice in oncology or haematology.
  • At least 2 years working in an aseptic production unit.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Pharmacist Independent Prescriber.
  • RPS Membership.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner.
  • Variety of clinical practice including medicine and surgery as a specialist.
  • Dispensing and monitoring clinical trials.
