About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic insurance pricing professional to join our team at NFU Mutual. As a Pricing Consultant, you will play a key role in developing, recommending, and managing the risk price for our Commercial products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and recommend risk prices for Commercial products, taking into account market trends and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to ensure accurate and timely pricing decisions.
  • Lead pricing activities, including large-scale price builds, claims projections, and costing product changes and propositions.
  • Assess recommendations from a technical perspective, applying suitable judgment and expertise.
  • Line manage a small team of Analysts and Lead Analysts, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a technical pricing role, with a strong understanding of insurance pricing principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of risk pricing, claims inflation, and market trends, with the ability to analyze complex data and deliver commercially sound recommendations.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Radar software and other relevant tools, with the ability to interpret model outcomes and influence price strategy through formal governance.
