About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join NFU Mutual's Pricing Department as a Risk Pricing Consultant. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in developing, recommending, and managing the risk price for our Personal Motor products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize premium strength while providing insight into the drivers of cost inflation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to lead diverse pricing activities, including large-scale price builds, claims projections, and costing product changes and propositions.
  • Assess recommendations from a technical perspective, applying suitable judgment to ensure accurate and commercially sound outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to support the development of a small number of Analysts and Lead Analysts within the team.
  • Contribute to the shaping of the team's ways of working, driving innovation and improvement.

About You

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic insurance pricing professional with prior experience in a technical pricing role and direct responsibility for pricing outputs, ideally in relation to Personal Motor products. You will have strong experience working within the general insurance sector and the UK general insurance market.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and prediction of claims inflation.
  • Ability to monitor the adequacy of pricing assumptions.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and deliver commercially sound recommendations.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Aptitude for making complex information simple and accessible to others.
