Assistant Director of Beverage Operations

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Beverage to join our food and beverage team at the University of Kent. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Food and Beverage Manager in managing, developing, and motivating a dedicated team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager in managing and developing a high-performing team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of food and beverage quality.
- Support the Food and Beverage Manager in maintaining stock and cash control, controlling cost of sales, and labor.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent, grades C/4 or above.
- Experience of supervising bar and/or catering staff in a high-volume environment with a flexible, committed, and professional approach to work.
- Experience of working with both an EPOS and Stock Management System and solid IT skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
