About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide a comprehensive specialist Speech & Language Therapy service to adults in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of adults with communication and dysphagia needs, providing assessments, treatments, and maintaining professional documentation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with referring services, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Obtain informed consent for assessments and treatments, and interpret and follow guidelines for patients without capacity.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, performing assessments and re-assessments in accordance with RCSLT guidelines.
  • Support the team in day-to-day operations, including answering queries, fielding referrals, and contributing to team discussions.

Requirements
  • Specialist working knowledge of clinical guidelines and ability to translate them into clinical practice.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a caseload, and communicate with supervisors and managers as needed.
