We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Buyer to join our Procurement Team at Pets Choice Ltd. This role will focus on sourcing materials, commodities, and ingredients used in our Pet Food manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative supplier partnerships to support a lean and profitable supply chain.
  • Manage supplier performance and implement a scorecard to align business objectives on cost, quality, OTIF, lead-times, etc.
  • Identify areas of risk in the supply chain, prioritize, and implement plans to mitigate such risks.
  • Conduct contract negotiation and ongoing market analysis, and report conclusions.
  • Conduct logistic analysis to determine the most cost-effective and efficient methods with both suppliers and customers (cost to serve).
  • Provide support to the business during the execution of larger projects, including New Product Development (NPD) and the innovation pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Contract negotiation skills.
  • Relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Experience gained from the Food or Pet Food Industry is highly desirable.

Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid working in our Head Office 3 days per week / Working from Home (WFH) 2 days per week.
