About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to provide personalized assistance to students with a range of additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers to adapt and differentiate lesson materials and activities.
  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs, if required.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Understanding of various special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
