Job Summary:

The Emerald Group is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Motor Actuary to join our UK P&C Motor actuarial team. This role will involve assisting brokers to advise clients on their portfolio relative to the market, achievable pricing, and providing input for the optimisation of reinsurance strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain market-leading analytics tools to support the reinsurance pricing process.
  • Collaborate with clients and reinsurers to explain findings and support the reinsurance placement process.
  • Assist in the development of technical capabilities to demonstrate the value of analysis in client tenders.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior actuarial team members.
  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and exciting team encompassing actuaries and brokers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related field.
  • Qualified actuary with experience in the London Market.
  • Technical experience of working in pricing, reserving, or capital modelling.
  • Coding experience utilising Python, R, SQL, VBA, or other comparable platforms.
