About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team in West CMHT, Leeds. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and consultancy to the multidisciplinary team, developing a therapeutic and holistic model of care that prioritizes psychological formulation, safety planning, and trauma-informed care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage referrals accepted by the CMHT for individuals with mood and psychotic disorders, trauma-based presentations, and personality disorder.
  • Represent the Trust at tribunal hearings and assess consent to treatment under the Mental Health Act.
  • Liaise with colleagues to facilitate transitions, plan care, and discharge.
Person Specification
  • On GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR.
  • Member of RCPsych.
  • Broad experience of WAA psychiatry.
