Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Services Coordinator to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will operate in a hybrid model, and the ideal candidate will possess experience in the educational sector, particularly in managing student financial obligations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing precise and current financial advice to students and prospective students regarding educational loans.
  • Assisting students with their financial aid applications.
  • Managing the distribution of Student Support Funds and maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Addressing any inquiries students may have regarding their loan accounts.
  • Handling various changes in circumstances as communicated by the Student Loans Company.
  • Preparing termly attendance reports for the Attendance Officer.
  • Reconciling all distributed funds and supplying management with requested financial information.
Essential Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Flexibility to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience in a fast-paced office or administrative setting.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, providing guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Support the implementation of efficient administrative and financial systems for student financial management, ensuring accurate and timely processing of applications and payments.
  • Promote student finance systems and procedures among curriculum and support staff to ensure accurate guidance on available funding.
  • Generate regular reports for management regarding fund distribution and effectiveness, advising on developmental and resource needs.
  • Ensure the seamless operation of student financial services while adhering to best practices in customer care.

Desirable:

  • Experience within the educational sector.
  • Experience in managing student debt recovery.
Working Hours

Education & Professional Qualifications:

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics and English.
