About the Role

Glasgow Life is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Events Team on a 35 hour full time, fixed term contract until December 2025. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for project managing and delivering major events such as Glasgow Mela, Merchant City Festival, The World Pipe Band Championships and Glasgow's Winter Events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage and deliver major events, working closely with local, national and international partners to maximise economic, marketing and social benefits.
  • Develop and implement event strategies to position and promote Glasgow as a world-leading event destination.
  • Collaborate with the Events Team to deliver a range of events, including one-off major events and programmes.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure successful event delivery.
Requirements
  • Appropriate level of qualification/training or employment experience in event project management.
  • Employment experience of the operational and delivery elements of major events.
  • Budget management experience.
