Job Title: Specimen Collector - Bridgewater

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is a leading provider of diagnostic testing solutions, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing.

The position of Specimen Collector is within our Rapid Diagnostics business, where you will work at a fixed site in the Bridgewater region to carry out specimen collections in various methods, including urine, breath, hair, and oral fluid.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct specimen collections competently, following collection procedures and customer requirements, to deliver a quality specimen collection service.
  • Provide availability to attend collections during the day, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, in line with business needs.
  • Participate in a 24-hour on-call rota, responding to calls immediately and arriving on site within 2 hours.
  • Remain current with processes by reading and acknowledging updates within the required time frame and attending audits as needed.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Education to National Standards.
  • Good verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • IT literacy and basic skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A self-motivated individual with a flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to follow set processes to ensure the right outcome.
  • Driving license and own vehicle.
