This role is a Fixed Term contract for 12 months. As a Category Merchandising Assistant within our Commercial division, you will engage with one of our most dynamic categories and collaborate with top technology brands. Our Merchandising teams play a crucial role in achieving category objectives by fostering relationships with suppliers and tracking performance metrics. You will be integral to our success, supporting our Senior Category Merchandiser in driving category results. This environment is rich with opportunities, allowing you to shape your desired career path.
Key Responsibilities:In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing strong partnerships with suppliers, stakeholders, and our supply chain to ensure consistent supply
- Taking initiative to meet all key performance indicators (sales, inventory, profit margins, and markdowns)
- Analyzing sales forecasts based on historical data, seasonal patterns, and market dynamics
- Monitoring weekly performance and providing recommendations to implement in-season strategies and achieve target availability across our store network
Qualifications:
- Experience in Merchandising, preferably within consumer goods, technology, or a related sector
- A relevant degree (or equivalent), such as Marketing, Merchandising, Retail, or Business
- Familiarity with merchandise planning systems like SAP, Compass Planning, or similar tools
- Experience with business intelligence tools
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, along with effective communication abilities
