We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiotherapy Dosimetrist to join our team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our Radiotherapy Physics team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate treatment of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Production of high-quality radiotherapy plans for patients, ensuring compliance with protocols and guidelines.
- Evaluation of plans prior to clinician approval, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Liaising with patients and clinicians to ensure seamless treatment delivery.
- Manufacture of patient-specific devices, including immobilization devices and shielding.
- Participation in brachytherapy planning and delivery, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and national guidelines.
- Appropriate qualification and registration as a Therapy Radiographer or Clinical Technologist.
- Current or recent experience in radiotherapy planning and delivery, with evidence of continuing professional development.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and complex radiotherapy planning techniques.
- Advanced computer skills and training, with experience in treatment planning systems.
