Job Title: Senior Public Relations Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Public Relations Officer to join our team at Comic Relief. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering creative national and regional PR strategies to promote fundraising and partnership activities for our Red Nose Day 2025 campaign.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver innovative PR strategies that drive media coverage and raise awareness of our work
  • Draft high-quality press releases, statements, and other media materials that showcase our brand and values
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, PR agencies, and media
  • Manage media enquiries and respond to press queries in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor the press regularly to identify opportunities and potential threats to our reputation
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing successful PR campaigns
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling stories and messages
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of PR evaluation methods and the ability to measure campaign success
