As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting activities, contributing to the preparation of monthly financial reports.
This is a full-time, permanent role operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the chance to collaborate with an innovative leader in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Fixed Asset and Leasing accounting functions.
- Collaboration with the finance team to prepare monthly management accounts, including journal entries.
- Analysis and clarification of variances in management accounts.
- Reconciling accounts and proactively addressing any discrepancies identified before and after month-end.
- Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Continuous enhancement of existing processes.
- Maximizing revenue by identifying and investigating underutilized assets.
- Preparation of cash flow projections.
- Assisting with the compilation of group reporting packs, ensuring timely completion and submission.
- Support during external audits.
- Contributing to annual budgeting and ongoing forecasts for both internal and external purposes.
- Mentoring and developing finance team members.
- Providing ad hoc reports as requested by senior management.
To be considered for the role of Financial Operations Specialist, candidates should possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
- Fully or partially qualified accountant.
- Experience in preparing management accounts and implementing financial processes.
- Proficient in accounts preparation, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and income deferral.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail.
- Commercially savvy and engaged in driving the company's goals.
- Proactive in problem-solving and process improvement.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and Word.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to excel in a dynamic, growing team.
- Capability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Motivated and eager to work within established guidelines.
