Sanctions Regulatory Change Specialist

MUFG is seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Regulatory Change Specialist to join our Financial Crimes Office for EMEA in London. As a key member of the Sanctions Program Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of the Sanctions Control Framework across all jurisdictions within EMEA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise on economic sanctions, including HMT, EU, and OFAC regulations.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of other autonomous sanctions regimes relevant to MUFG and the EMEA region.
  • Conduct continuous regulatory horizon scanning for sanctions and other restrictive economic measures.
  • Assess MUFG's sanctions control framework against applicable regulations to identify areas for improvement or enhancement.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders in local, regional, and global teams.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a central sanctions function.
  • A strong knowledge of banking and associated systems and controls for financial crime.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in policy management.
